Carl was recommended to me by both a friend and the rescue organization I adopted my dog Bolt from, so I’ve known from the beginning how great he is. Carl is not only extremely experienced with and passionate about dogs, but he also has a knack for explaining things and teaching you the best ways to continue training. He is incredibly kind, empathetic, and respectful, and really tailors the training to your specific dog and needs. He has helped Bolt with many things from basic commands to more nuanced and complicated issues like excessive barking, anxious attachment, and dog socialization. Highly recommend Carl!

I found Carl through a face book recommendation, I was so happy to have Carl teach me how to control his behaviour. I highly recommend using his services, his training and communication with Archie was amazing. His simple cues showed me how I can continue on my own with Archie. Kofi
Kofi had a unique problem - he would bark at intersections, and wake up the neighborhood!
With some coaching he and his human put in some training and got over Kofi's issue with crosswalks and intersections. Although it was an unusual issue, through some trial and error it was resolved! One size does not fit all for dog training, and every dog has different challenges to overcome with training.
Louise + Banks
I feel so very fortunate to have found Carl's Canines. Carl is passionate about his work and this spills over into every interaction with him. Carl truly loves dogs and their people.
My rescue, Banks, and I had a good bond but working with Carl has turned this into a GREAT bond. Carl explained to me that Banks gets a bit bonkers in the evenings, literally leaping across the living room, because he didn't have a puppyhood in the shelter. He was simply being a puppy in a young adult's body and didn't know how to control himself. That helped me understand Banks a lot better and be prepared for when he got the extreme zoomies. Training has helped Banks control that while still being playful.
Watching Carl interact with Banks is so touching. Carl asks for permission before touching Banks and speaks to him calmly, quietly and respectfully. It's quite lovely to see. I could go on and on about how compassionate and kind Carl is and how great he is at communicating with his human and canine clients. I have handed out Carl's business card to friends with dogs and cannot recommend him highly enough.
